Whether you’ve followed Jesus your whole lifeor you’re just starting to wonder if there’s more to you than you’ve been told — this is for you.
Far from a feel-good list of nice things you might be good at, The Gifts are the raw abilities God placed in you before you were formed — before the world was made. They’re named all through Scripture, from Romans 12 to 1 Corinthians 12 to Ephesians 4. They’re real, they’re active now, and they’re operating in you whether you’ve named them or not.
And here’s the part that matters most: your gifts were given. They come from the One who made you. The deep relief of finally seeing them in plain sight is that they don’t need to be invented — only to be received, and then used.
That’s also why you won’t find them where the world keeps pointing you. Not in a personality quiz. Not in a Freudian self-help paperback. Not in a Human Design chart or an Enneagram type — both of which are occult in their origins, and I’ll say so plainly, because someone should. And — this is the part I had to learn the hard way — the naming isn’t found by looking within yourself. It was placed in you, on purpose, by Someone who knew you before you drew breath. You’re not inventing yourself. You’re recognising what He already built.
There are plenty of spiritual gifts quizzes online — tonnes of them. Most of them are lukewarm, at best. They ask you to rate yourself on a scale of 1 to 5 across a list of statements. The problem with this approach is that busy, preoccupied souls and even earnest, faith-filled people tend to rate everything high — and the results are flattened. You score well on everything and walk away no clearer than when you started. No real direction. No real sense of purpose, other than scratching a strange, spiritual itch. Did anyone mention lukewarm?
This assessment is a tool that works differently. I’ve developed it to bring up high quality results, in a tried and proven model called a forced-choice model — the same approach used in professional psychometric profiling assessments to discern the nuanced aspects of those gifts in comparison to each other. For each question, you’ll see two statements. Both are true. Both describe genuine spiritual gifts. You will land with the one that is most like you, in most situations.
That’s harder. Which is the point. When you can’t say yes to everything, your real wiring will show up in a simple Socratic technique. Our true priorities surface. The gifts God actually built you to lead with become clear — not because you rated yourself highly, but because you chose them when it counted. You lean on those under pressure.
80 questions. 20 gifts. And about 20 minutes of honest reflection to see you as God sees you: your full Spiritual Gifts profile — all 20 gifts, as a mirror in this season.
You might be a believer who’s walked with Jesus for decades and never been able to articulate what you carry. You might be new in your faith, trying to understand where you fit. You might have a corporate background, or be a preacher, a priest, a chaplain, a pastor, looking for a tool with depth and accuracy. You might be an influencer who’s undergone radical change. You might be sitting on your couch at 11pm, searching for something you can’t quite name.
This is for you.
But before you begin — you can’t jig this
So don’t try! Relax, and just enjoy the process. There’s no pass or fail, and no clever way to drive the outcome. Just answer honestly, and it’ll show you what God has had in store for you.
Before you were formed, God knew you — and wired you for purpose. This assessment helps you discover the unique spiritual gifts God has placed within you, so you can walk fully in who He made you to be.
This is not a test. There are no right or wrong answers. This is a discovery — an invitation to see how God has wired you.
A few things to know:
Set aside 20–30 minutes in a quiet space where you won't be interrupted.
Don't take this when you're stressed, emotional, or rushing. Your answers should reflect who you truly are — not who you wish you were, or who you think you should be.
For each question, you'll see two statements. Both are good. Choose the one that sounds most like you. Trust your gut — your first instinct is usually the most honest.
At the end, you'll see your full spiritual gifts profile — all 20 gifts, ranked. If you want to go deeper with me, you'll get the opportunity at the end.
On retaking:
Your spiritual gifts are how God wired you. They don't change with seasons or moods. We recommend you take this once and trust what comes back.
Unless you've experienced a major and/or traumatic upheaval in your life — significant loss, grief, divorce, salvation — where you are finding the way you respond to the world around you is dramatically different from before, then it might be helpful to retake. Usually the gifts will simply strengthen, as we see examples of this right the way through the Bible from Job to Paul and John.
